Recently featured by iTunes "At The Comedy Festivals" is one of the best Acoustic Comedy
Albums around and earned Naked Flames a signing to Ditto Music. With parodies of Celine Dion, Elvis, and the best Coldplay spoof anywhere, this highly entertaining and wonderfully eccentric album also has many up-tempo original songs. The new single "Keep Your Man" reached the semi finals of the 2007 UK Songwriting Contest. There were 5,000 entries. |
The humorous lyrics and highly unusual subject matter makes this album an excellent resource for animators and film makers. There are mad vocal effects, excellent 'walking' bass lines and guitar solos on a 12-string guitar - rarely attempted by any guitarist. "At The Comedy Festivals" is very much in the spirit of Monty Python, Frank Zappa, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Bill Bailey, Otis Lee Crenshaw (Rich Hall), Mitch Benn and Ivor Cutler. The album is based on the band's performances at England's largest Comedy Festival in Leicester. | |

Imagine Monty Python put to music, this is the closest analogy I can deliver.
Raw Nerve
Naked Flames are having fun with their music and I applaud them for that.
The Music Guru
Nice to hear something different and with thought and effort.
