What a Stupid way to go to Rio's.

I tend to have breakfast in Leeds at a greasy spoon - I recommend the Swan Street Cafe or the Merrion Coffee House - they both do a full English for about four quid, and a decent veggie equivalent. You'll need a Dayrover. You can afford to be pretty relaxed on this one because the transport links are really good and there's only seven pubs. You could quite easily start it mid afternoon and still get round comfortably.

PubBeerImpressionHow to Get There.
The Wrens, LeedsBlack Sheep, Landlord, Tetley's Bitter and Mild and Jennings Cumberland AleGreat pub in Leeds city centre which always pretty quietYou can see it very clearly from outside the Grand Theatre
Boat House, SaltaireTaylors Landlord and Black SheepGreat pub, right next to the riverGo to Leeds train station and catch the train to Saltaire. Times are 11.56 or 12.26. At Saltaire station, come out of the station and turn left. At the main street, turn left down the hill and the car park to the Boat House Inn is on your left.
Brown Cow, BingleyTaylors and a guestAce pub, just by the river.Go back to the train station and get a train to Bingley. Times are 13.10,20 or 45. Come out of Bingley station, turn right, go to the end of the road and turn left. At the main road, turn right. Walk along the main road, past the Fleece (Use this pub if The Brown Cow is shut) and turn left just before The White Horse Inn. Cross over the bridge and the Brown Cow's right in front of you.
Cricketer's Arms, KeighleyLots of guest beers.I really liked this pub. Great beer, Interesting seating!Get the train to Keighley. 14.14, 25 or 37. Turn left out of the station and keep walking down East Parade. Go through the traffic lights and there's a turning on your left, which leads down to the pub.
Causeway Foot Inn, OgdenA couple of good beers. It's a really good pub, right up on the moor.Go to Keighley Bus Station and get the 502 Halifax bus to Ogden. Times are .05 and .35 past the hour. Get off the bus when you see the 'Goose' pub and the pub's on the other side of the road.
The Three Pigeons, South Parade, HalifaxA large range of about eight beers. This was quite busy when we went (Sat night), but it certainly wasn't unbearable and it's a cracking pub.Go back to the bus stop and catch the bus to Halifax and walk out of the bus station. Come out of the bus station and head for the train station, down Smithy Street. Keep following the road, ignoring the train station and when the road becomes South Parade, the pub will be on your left.
Castle Hotel, Bradford.A good selection of good beers. This pub is really quiet. It's not the best looking of pubs, but it's a great place to drink and a nice relaxing place to finish a day's drinking, or, if you're going on to Rio's, it's a great place to experience the 'calm before the storm'!Go back to the Train Station and get the train to Bradford (also goes to Leeds/York/Selby). Times are 18.16, 25 or 38. At the Interchange, walk out and past the Queen. Keep going up the hill, going over the main road at the top and keep going. Follow the road round to the right, and the Castle Hotel's on your left, right at the top.
RiosNewcastle Brown in bottles.Rock Night club! From the Castle Hotel, walk down the hill the way you came. Turn right at the lights, and go down the hill. Turn right again at the lights at the bottom, cross over the road and keep going up the main road. Turn left at the next lights, and then immediately left again up a dingy side street. Keep walking up this road and you will eventually get to Rio's.
