Food and Beer go together well, and it's far more versatile as a food companion than wine. I've only just decided to put this section up, but I'm going to try and put up a list of foods that go well with particular beers.Let me know if you find any.
FoodBeers triedTasting Notes
CurryYoung's WaggledanceThe best by a bit. Smooth honey beer really complements the spiciness
Marston Owd RogerDark, rich, sweet and strong, this also was a good accompaniment
Timothy Taylor LandlordWell, it was Landlord. It neither complemented nor clashed - it just tasted of the great beer that I love!
WeissbierKinda brought out a maltiness in the beer which isn't usually apparent when drinking Weissbier.
Shepherd Neame Kentish AleThis was an unoffensive beer that was a nice drink to accompany the curry. It didn't complement the food the way the Waggledance did-the flavour of the beer got a bit lost, but it was a nice drink to have with the food
Moorhouse's Pendle Witches BrewThis really didn't go at all. It made the beer taste sour
Black Sheep Monty Python Holy Grail AleA bit like the Landlord this one - it was quite a strong taste on it's own
Sam Smith's Pale AleThis was a nice accompaniment to the food, but not spectacular
